Young Artistic Talents to Present Their Works in Cupertino

SSCC is thrilled to be co-sponsoring the “Bay Area Open Art: Youth” exhibition and competition to be held at Svoimi Slovami School for Bilingual Children in Cupertino on March 1-2, 2025, to showcase the remarkable talent of young artists.
Eligibility:
· Children aged 10-18 are eligible to participate
· Participants will be split into three age categories: 10-12, 13-15, and 16-18
· Age is determined as of the exhibition dates (March 1-2)
Artwork Guidelines:
· Each participant can exhibit up to seven works in any technique and format.
· All works must be properly framed or mounted with hanging wire on the back.Each work must include a label with the title, the artist's name, the name of the teacher (if applicable), and an indication of the technique used (e.g., oil, acrylic, pencil, watercolor, etc.).Participants have the option to sell their artwork.
Recognition:
· Each exhibitor will receive a personalized Diploma of Participation in the exhibition
· All exhibited works are automatically entered into the "Audience Award" competition list
· Exhibition guests will act as the competition's jury. Every visitor will receive three voting sheets (one for each age category), and they can vote for their favorite artist.
· The work with the most votes in each age category will receive an SSCC-sponsored cash prize of $100 (by check)
· The total of three winners will be nominated.
· Voting will remain open until 5:30 p.m. on March 2nd, and the vote counting process will be totally transparent. The results will be announced on the same day.
