From April 24 to 26 in Cupertino, the fourth annual LitFest took place with the support of Svoimi Slovami Cultural Center. In just four years since its founding, the festival has grown into a widely recognized literary and discussion platform in California and far beyond—bringing together children and adults, as well as acclaimed writers, poets, and literary critics from both the United States and Europe.
This year, LitFest once again gathered some of the most vibrant and compelling voices in contemporary literature. Over the course of three days, they connected with our many guests—people who truly appreciate and value great books.
The festival program offered something for everyone. Adults enjoyed a thoughtfully curated book club, while younger guests were delighted by an interactive theatrical performance. Invited authors hosted a series of engaging meetings with readers, along with thematic workshops. Guests also had the opportunity to visit the “365 Books” bookstore and relax in a welcoming literary café.

Over these three days, we were happy to reconnect with many familiar faces—and especially delighted to meet so many new ones. It is truly inspiring to see the festival continue to grow in popularity. Events like these create a unique environment where people gradually open up to one another, become more engaged, and by the end of the festival, begin to feel part of a shared cultural space.
Thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend!
All proceeds from LitFest (including paid admissions) will be directed to SSCC account and used to support the organization and development of our upcoming cultural programs.
Beyond LitFest: Continuing Our Cultural Mission
Over the past six months, our foundation has successfully implemented several cultural initiatives. We would especially like to highlight our collaboration with Serge Solo.
As part of SSCC’s ongoing efforts to build partnerships with distinguished figures from the world of theater, a special charity theater evening was held at the creative space of the “In Your Own Words” school in support of the “Letters of Heartening” project.

Director, playwright, and actor Serge Solo presented two of his solo performances. The first part of the evening took the audience on a journey into the past with an experimental interpretation inspired by the iconic film Courier. After the intermission, the scene shifted to the present day, where the audience witnessed a deeply personal phone conversation between the protagonist and his elderly relative. This moving dialogue delicately revealed the complexities and emotional nuances of relationships with older generations.
We are sincerely grateful to Serge Solo, Irina Gruminskaya, and their colleagues for this unique performance, which evoked nostalgia, laughter, and even tears among the audience.
And of course, heartfelt thanks to all our guests who joined us that night. We deeply value the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, and supporting cultural initiatives remains one of the core missions of SSCC.
